Part of Me

I’m Melisa.

As one of the first graduates of Acıbadem University’s Department of Nutrition and Dietetics, I began my career working at a private hospital. I set out on this path to improve people’s quality of life and support their healing. Only much later did I realize that life was preparing me for an entirely different side of healing.

13 years, 13 hours

One night, sudden pain sent me to the emergency room and into surgery. After 13 years without a diagnosis, the pain finally had a name. It took 13 hours to find it: endometriosis.

That day, I realized this journey was more than a professional choice. It was a step towards understanding my own story — and the struggles of so many women like me.

Part of Me

is a shared story of the hardships I have lived through and of every woman who sets out on her own journey toward healing. If you find a piece of yourself in these pages, know that this book was written for you.

I’m a dietitian, but above all I believe this:

Nutrition is so much more than following a list.

For many years I lived with pain I couldn’t name, with fatigue, and with things I was told were “normal” but never felt normal to me. When I was diagnosed with endometriosis, I realized that what had begun was not just an illness, but also a process of learning to listen to my own body.

This journey taught me:

  • There is no single way of eating that works for everyone.
  • Healing is possible not through restrictions, but through understanding, simplifying and sustainable steps.

Today I meet my clients not to write diets, but to think, understand and find workable paths together.

In this process, what matters to me is not that you are “perfect”, but that you grow closer to yourself.

“I don’t write diets. I walk beside you.”

I’m here to make nutrition not an obligation, but a support in harmony with your life.
